WetBRICK® — a permanent barrier against damp in masonry.

Polymer gel injected into holes at the base of the wall or across the entire area (below ground level). After a few days, it cross-links directly within the masonry to form a mechanically solid barrier. Water from the subsoil can no longer pass through the walls. It even works for masonry below ground level — such as cellars — which most other injection methods cannot.

How it works

  1. 1. We drill a row of Ø 18 mm holes in a single horizontal line at the base of the wall or in a cross grid across the entire area.
  2. 2. We inject the polymer gel at low pressure — it spreads through the capillaries.
  3. 3. After a few days, the gel cross-links and forms a barrier against damp.
  4. 4. We fill the holes and restore the plaster (typically with Epasit® renovating plaster).

What sets WetBRICK® apart from other methods

Principle of application

  1. The sealing gel begins to absorb the damp in the masonry down to the foundations immediately after application. After injection into holes drilled within a radius of 15–30 cm at the affected points, the drying of the masonry is noticeable within a short time.
  2. The masonry does not need to be drilled in an exact grid — thanks to its expansiveness, the gel fills the gaps itself. We always proceed according to the technical manual.
  3. On contact with damp or water, it builds a gradual pressure. It penetrates the structure of the masonry on its own — from the exposed face to the foundations — and completely fills cracks in the masonry, cracks in the jointing compound, and voids.
  4. The gel does not push against the stone or masonry. It penetrates pores and capillaries as small as 1/1000 mm. It is not a purely hydrophobic agent — it fills, seals, and increases the strength of the masonry. Manufactured in Germany, backed by scientific research.

Injection patterns

Horizontal damp-proofing
5–7 holes per running metre at intervals of approx. 15–20 cm, drilled at the correct angle. It covers 2–3 joints between the masonry as well as the masonry itself. Plugs remain in the wall after application — protruding parts are removed, while the part inside the masonry serves as a sealing plug.
Area injection
A cross grid at 20–30 cm intervals. Consumption of 150–600 ml of gel per hole depending on the condition and thickness of the masonry. Binding ratio 1 l of gel : 150 l of water — a single hole can take up to 90 l of water.

Practical scenarios

Older houses
Damp can be eliminated both above and below existing waterproofing — typically in flooded cellars, damp walls, and plaster around old staircases.
Modern houses
Masonry becoming damp through façade insulation or from water ingress below garden level or on a slope. We apply 2–3 l of gel per m² into cross-drilled holes in the joints — a very reliable and clean solution without breaking up floors. We always recommend injection before implementing external measures (drainage, drainage systems).

After injection

  • Once the masonry has reached an optimal moisture level, we recommend applying the WTA renovating system from the German company EPASIT.
  • The gel retains its functionality even after the masonry has dried. When the space is heated, it reactivates, absorbs moisture, and dries out the area.
